Reclaiming Our Language, Reclaiming Our Power
This book is a living, breathing declaration of our sovereignty. It’s a guide to unlearning the words that have been placed on us and replacing them with language that reflects our truth. Every word we reclaim is an act of liberation. Every phrase we reframe is a step toward undoing centuries of indoctrination. We are shifting the way we see ourselves so we can move differently, think differently, and build differently.
Let’s build it together.
For centuries, we have been fed a vocabulary designed to make us forget who we are. The words we use today weren’t just handed to us; they were handpicked and weaponized against us. This book is here to undo that damage. It’s here to remind us that we come from people who survived. They fought, they created, they thrived, and they defined their own reality. And now, it’s our turn.
This is a living book. It will evolve as we continue to uncover, unlearn, and reclaim. The words in these pages ain’t set in stone. Just like us, they are dynamic, ever-growing, and ever-expanding. The work of liberation won’t stop, and neither does the language we use to shape it.
This book is for every Black person who has ever questioned why things are the way they are. It’s for the ones who feel the weight of history but know deep in their spirit that something ain’t right. It’s for those of us who refuse to be defined by the language of our oppressors and are ready to rewrite our own story. Word by word, Thought by thought. Liberation is a collective journey, and we need each other to get free. If this book has sparked something in you, share it with someone you love.
